Developing a Practice Plan
1. ANALYSIS
What are the strong and weak points of the team?
Which phase of training are we in?
How have we tried to improve weak points until now?
What area needs the most work to get the most improvement from the
team?
2. OBJECTIVES
Decide what can we achieve in a single practice and plan it accordingly.
Decide which subject is important in the context of developments to
date or with regard to the next opponent.
3. PLANNING YOUR PRACTICE
Which methodical aspects should be taken into account?
How should I spread the workload?
Which small sided games and practice drills should I choose?
Should I demonstrate a skill for the players to practice on their own
time?
4. HAVING YOUR PRACTICE
Should specific drills or games be carried out longer or more intensively?
Should increasing levels of pressure be added to each drill?
Has the desired effect been achieved? Repeat to achieve the desired
effect.
Do the corrections and instructions bring the desired result?
5. EVALUATING YOUR PRACTICE
Did everything go as planned?
Did the practice achieve it's goals?
Were the players motivated?
Did the players have fun?
Did the players learn anything?
What could have been done better?
What will I change for my next practice? |
